Shauna Kathryn McKallor, President and Founder of Blackthorn Group, built her career over 36 years in the hospitality industry — an industry defined by the art of making people feel safe, cared for, and valued without ever making that care feel intrusive.
Married to a 28-year veteran of local law enforcement, Shauna developed a firsthand understanding of the operational demands, personal sacrifices, and institutional knowledge that define a career in public safety — and recognized a critical void in the executive protection field that traditional security firms were not equipped to fill.
That insight became the founding principle of Blackthorn Group: that protection should be invisible, personal, and worthy of the trust placed in it. She assembled an advisory board of career law enforcement, intelligence, and threat assessment professionals and built the firm around this conviction.
